Allana Ferguson bio

Allana played for Australia at Rugby Sevens, but then knee injuries forced her to go through a number of seasons without playing before switching to the Rugby League. Allana was the first woman to make her debut in rugby league against Queensland for New South Wales. Allana also has radio in her CV, and has made regular appearances with the 2GB's highest-rated Continuous Call Team. Outside of sport Allana is a certified educator. Allana Ferguson enjoys the rare honor of having represented Australia in three distinct sporting events - Rugby Sevens as well as Rugby League and Touch. Jillaroos' star Allana Ferguson was called upon to announce an early end to her rugby league professional career following the tear of her ACL for the fourth time. She had torn the ligament at the same knee when she was 15 17 and 20-years-old and following a 4th tear, this meant that Ferguson's playing time was over. Ferguson is the JILLAROOS the JILLAROOS' player of the year has been forced to leave the team in the midst of training due to a fourth left ACL tear. After suffering the injury in the month of November while training Ferguson, who has been one of the stars of women's rugby league for these past few seasons, confirmed the news this week to The Courier Mail.
